About the artwork
In a weathered, tiled room illuminated by overhead fluorescent light, four naked men wearing protective masks enact a stark disinfection ritual. On the left, a figure uses a pressurized sprayer to cast a wide plume of fine mist over three men standing side by side. The composition pairs theatrical staging with an earthy, muted palette of raw ochre, worn tiles, and gritty shadows. Produced in 2018, the graphic print demonstrates Serhiy Zapadnya's approach to metaphorical imagery and staged figurative narrative. Sized at 30 × 44 cm, the work introduces a striking, thought-provoking presence into contemporary living spaces, studios, or curated modern art collections.Details
