About the artwork
“Welcome” (2/2) by Artem Volokitin captures a surreal interplay between reality and illusion. The neon-red inscription vibrates across the surface, surrounded by blurred strokes of pink and green flora. The artist reflects on how visual noise and artificial light distort perception, turning nature into a decorative echo of mass media. The warm oil texture and fluid brushwork counter the rigidity of the typography, transforming a commercial word into an emotional metaphor of hospitality and distance.
