About

"Art for me is a tool for social observation. I am interested in the intersection of architecture, history, and the daily struggle for our shared space."

Ksenia Hnylytska is a pivotal figure in contemporary Ukrainian art, focusing on the critical deconstruction of urban space and social structures. Her brand combines classical painting with experimental ceramics and installation. Exploring the aesthetics of "common space" and post-Soviet transformation, she creates art that bridges institutional critique and high aesthetic value.
Ksenia Hnylytska (b. 1984) is a central figure of the post-independence generation of Ukrainian artists. As a co-founder of the R.E.P. group, she played a vital role in institutionalizing contemporary art in Ukraine. Through oil painting, ceramics, and large-scale installations, she explores the interplay between ideological structures and the physical environment. Her work focuses on the "memory of place" and the aesthetic decay of urban public spaces, deconstructing myths and historical remnants. Having represented Ukraine at the Venice Biennale and Art Basel, Hnylytska is a powerful international voice. Her art is an intellectual challenge that encourages viewers to rethink the boundaries between private history and collective social experience, transforming mundane urban elements into objects of profound artistic reflection.
