About the artwork

In this vertical canvas, an energetic palm crown opens in radiating strokes of emerald, turquoise, and olive against a nocturnal slate-blue background. Gestural paint layers and visible brushwork build the dense foliage, punctuated by small accents of warm red at the core. A pale geometric lattice in the lower corner and a faint, luminous orb in the upper sky ground the organic forms with architectural and atmospheric contrast. Alina Fedotova is a contemporary Ukrainian artist and researcher working across painting, graphics, and video art. Her work explores themes of marine ecology, environmental ethics, and philosophical perceptions of the horizon. Measuring 110 × 160 cm, the painting brings a rich, moody presence to interior spaces. Its cool botanical tones and dynamic vertical composition make it well suited as a central focus in a living area, study, or private gallery setting.
