Oksana Mas: Collective Memory and Participatory Practice

Oksana Mas is a Ukrainian artist of international standing, known for large-scale installations, objects, and participatory projects that explore themes of collective memory, responsibility, spirituality, and identity. In her practice, she combines traditional cultural symbols with contemporary artistic strategies, working at the intersection of individual gesture and collective action. In 2011, Oksana Mas represented Ukraine at the 54th Venice Biennale with the project ‘Post-vs-Proto-Renaissance,’ which became one of the largest participatory art projects created by a Ukrainian artist.
