A contemporary Ukrainian artist from Zakarpattia whose work is rooted in philosophical symbolism. His paintings explore the dualism of existence and the connection between consciousness and nature. Known for his unique textural approach, he creates a bridge between traditional imagery and modern metaphysical reflection.

Maksim Malil'o is a distinctive representative of the contemporary Zakarpattia school of painting, whose work is a profound exploration of the metaphysics of human existence. His artistic language is based on intellectual symbolism and the ability to perceive the sacred in everyday images. Utilizing a complex technique of multi-layered paint application and original textural solutions, the artist creates canvases with exceptional visual depth and a meditative character. At the heart of his work is the search for the spiritual code of humanity, the connection between generations, and reflections on cultural memory, which were vividly embodied in the "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" project. Malil'o successfully transforms traditional Zakarpattia motifs into a modern visual context, making them accessible to a global audience, as evidenced by successful exhibitions in Japan, Bulgaria, and Turkey. His art is a quiet dialogue between the past and the future.
