About

"The 'Bouquet' is not a flower; it is an explosion of ideas, a synthesis of the spiritual and the material. The artist's task is to find a form for the formless and a sign for the unutterable. I do not paint reality; I create a space where the absolute can manifest itself."

Oleksandr Dubovyk is a classic of Ukrainian modernism, whose brand represents spiritual aristocracy and complex philosophical symbolism. His works are famous for the "Bouquet" — a unique sign of synthesis between the spiritual and the material. Dubovyk’s art is an elite investment, representing a bridge between 20th-century avant-garde and contemporary abstract thought.
Oleksandr Dubovyk (born 1931) is a legendary figure and a living classic of the Ukrainian 1960s generation. His artistic path represents a decades-long struggle for intellectual and creative freedom against the constraints of socialist realism. Dubovyk developed a unique visual language based on hermetic symbols and abstract geometric forms. Central to his philosophy is the "Bouquet"—a conceptual sign that symbolizes a spiritual explosion, the synthesis of multi-layered meanings, and the victory of spirit over matter. As a "National Legend of Ukraine" and an Honorary Academician, Dubovyk’s influence on national art is fundamental, acting as a bridge between the historical avant-garde and contemporary abstract thought. Represented in major museum collections from the National Art Museum of Ukraine to the Zimmerli Art Museum (USA), his works are considered a cornerstone of any high-level collection of Eastern European modernism.
